In late summer, vineyards across the country begin to see their carefully nurtured fruit ripen. Acids developed over cool nights give way to the sugars accumulated from days sitting under the hot summer sun. It’s a moment of transformation and a reward for months of patience.
This is the sentiment behind Veraising—RISING’s sprawling tasting of natural, organic and minimal intervention wine. After months of waiting the time has arrived to gather again and enjoy the ultimate end product of viticulture, the coming together of old friends and new, to share stories and forge new memories. And open many bottles.
Veraising features over 200 wines from over 30 independent winemakers and suppliers from Australia and abroad. Your ticket includes entry, a tasting glass and unlimited tastings. Snacks on the day are in the capable hands of Tom Sarafian (Bar Saracen, Little Andorra), who has been at the forefront of pushing wine-bar dining to new heights. It’s going to be a grape-fuelled party to close the festival’s 2021 food and wine program.
